Peach Gelato Recipe

Recipe: In a heavy skillet heat sugar and water, stirring until sugar is fully dissolved. Cool the syrup. Peel and pit the peaches and in a food processor blend them with the mascarpone cheese until smooth. Stir in syrup, cream and lemon juice. Chill the peach gelato mixture until cold and freeze in an ice-cream maker. Serve the peach gelato immediately or transfer it to an airtight container and return in the freezer to harden a little more for about 1 hour if necessary.
