Mozzarella Sticks Recipe

Ingredients:

500 gr. mozzarella cheese,
1/2 cup all-purpose flour,
2 large eggs, lightly beaten,
60 ml. heavy cream,
1 1/2 cup seasoned Italian breadcrumbs,
1 tsp. minced garlic in oil,
vegetable oil for deep-frying,
1 tbsp. chopped parsley,
freshly ground black pepper.


Recipe: Cut the mozzarella cheese to approximately 1/2-inch thick and 2 1/2-inch long strips. Brush the mozzarella sticks with a mix of the garlic in oil, parsley and black pepper. Beat lightly the eggs with the cream in a bowl. Dredge each mozzarella stick in the flour, dip them in the egg mixture and press them in the breadcrumbs to coat them completely. Heat the oil in a deep-frier to 165 F and drop the breaded mozzarella sticks. Fry them until they are golden in color and swim up to the surface. Remove the mozzarella sticks from the frier and pot them over tissue paper for a few minutes to drain the excess oil. The breaded mozzarella sticks can be frozen and fried later from frozen. Serve the mozzarella cheese sticks over chopped lettuce with marinara sauce for dipping on the side.
